Greetings from Portugal.

As a matter of interest, specially for those interested in the fascinating subject of colors.  My experience, with WHITE PWDS, tells me the following.

There is a clear evidence that WHITE PWDs (like Brown, Grey or even Black) show different degrees of expression according to a number of units of heredity with major effects - DILUTION MELANINE, MODIFIERS, MUTATION or even NON GENETIC FACTORS.

Briefly on white PWDs.

White PWDs (self-colored due to a recessive gene) are born white - develop, in the first weeks, black nose & eye rims - have dark brown eyes. Have BLUE SKIN.

OFF-WHITE - are born white, develop in the first weeks brown nose & eye rims - have lighter brown eyes. Have PINK SKIN.

WHITE IN EXTREME PIEBOLD -  Have PINK SKIN and can develop TICKING.

When mating white PWDs with white PWDs the result are all white PWDs (white or off-white depending on the progenitors).

WHITE in Albino of true pink eyed dogs is extremely rare..
